About Us
American Initiatives for Social Development Foundation empowers local initiatives run by local individuals. American Initiatives believes that strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship is the best way to create sustainable development while respecting local, cultural values. Many American Initiative affiliates are women-run organizations based in developing countries.
Our approach
Globally, American Initiatives promotes sustainable, visible change in education, healthcare, nutrition, skill training, entrepreneurship, agriculture, housing, and disaster relief. These sectors often lack the necessary personnel and funding to sustain organic growth in developing countries. To address this need, American Initiatives provides fundraising and growth strategies as well as networking assistance.
American Initiatives provides these services pro-bono or at lower-than-cost rates to organizations around the world and relies solely on the generosity of individual and corporate donors. With a contribution, you can join this mission to uplift communities around the world.
